COH
Controlled Ovarian Hyperstimulation (COH)
Controlled Ovarian Hyperstimulation (COH) is a process of giving injections over several days to stimulate the ovaries to recruit more follicles (the groups of cells that are responsible for producing female eggs), so that after 9-12 days of follicle growth the eggs can be harvested (egg retrieval; OPU) and used in conjunction with fertility treatments like In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), and Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT). Our fertility specialists will work closely with you to determine what medications are best for your unique controlled ovarian hyperstimulation.
During follicle stimulation and egg retrieval, we will utilize ultrasound monitoring and hormonal blood tests to determine the optimal time to harvest eggs.
